A Great Bluesman Has Left Us..................

....... with much sadness I recently learned of Maynard Silva's passing. He was the best, I remember hearing him and his band regularly at the OLD Met Cafe in Providence. You know, that little place just outside the gates of hell, or was it heaven? Actually it was just out from under Rte. 195 and crosswise from Leo's. He and his music were definitely a bona fide, good time item. This is a very big sadness. Obit here and here.
