Face The Nation/7/27/08.....
Senators Jack Reed(D, RI) and Chuck Hagel(R, NE) were on CBS's Face The Nation this morning. They really gave an informative, unbiased and objective view of their trip through the middle east with Barack Obama. And both made several poignant, well considered points concerning the presidential campaign. I'm very proud to have Jack Reed as my representative in the Senate and if'n I lived in Nebraska I'd be proud as well to have Chuck Hagel as my senator. Though I am still concerned if he has any remaining ties to Diebold. It should be noted here that as as a candidate for senator in Nebraska and Chairman of Diebold in 1996; Hagel won by overturning an entrenched as well as very popular democratic incumbent and became the first republican senator in Nebraska, for the first time in 24 years (paragraphs 24&25). In light of his appearance on this show though, I hold Senator Chuck Hagel in as high a regard as I hold Senator Joe Lieberman (CT) in low. I tell ya, I can't wait until the first Wednesday in November! Link to Face the Nation as soon as it is available, here.
